Job Summary

Black Ridge Construction Ltd. is hiring! We're looking for a skilled labourer with

minimum 3 years experience

in the construction industry. Eligible candidates be comfortable with using different types of tools and machinery. Must be highly motivated and able to work as a team or independently. Due to the nature of this position,

strong English skills are required

for consideration. This is a full-time, and permanent position. Compensation will depend on previous experience and general knowledge of proper construction practices.

Black Ridge provides Calgary with turn key construction and renovation services. We do full commercial and residential renovations that entail framing, drywall, paint, flooring, finish carpentry, tiling etc. We are looking for a versatile individual who can assist in all aspects of a project with enthusiasm.

Job sites are located throughout Calgary, therefore a drivers license, reliable vehicle and good attendance are all necessary for this position.

Duties

Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to complete tasks accurately. Assist in installation of various types of finish materials including cabinets, trim, moldings, and doors. Perform drywall installation and finishing as required. Assist in various types of product installation such as tile backer board, bath tubs, vanities, millwork etc. Assemble furniture and fixtures as needed to meet project specifications. Must be comfortable learning and using various types of tools and machinery Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of all aspects of the project. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Requirements

Knowledge of safe working conditions and work practices Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics is essential Some skills in finish carpentry(doors/trim), drywall installation/finishing, construction painting, cabinet installation, and caulking. Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively and safely. Attention to detail Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise. Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials when necessary. A valid driver's license is required for travel between job sites.

Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
