Job Description

Prince Edward County Contracting is currently looking for a reliable semi skilled Labourer. This role would be on an employed, permanent basis and is ideal for anyone looking to train and develop skills. Experience in the residential construction industry is a plus. Applicant must have access to reliable transportation. Labourers with special skills, such as concrete finishing and carpentry, are in especially high demand. We offer a consistent work schedule and competitive pay. The pay ranges from $20-$25 per hour depending on experience level. The ideal candidates will be capable of working with minimal oversight but willing to follow directions closely.

Summary

As a Semi Skilled Labourer, you will be an essential part of our residential construction team, reporting to the Foreman. Your role involves utilising core skills in hand tools and power tools to assist in various construction tasks, including concrete finishing, tile, painting and carpentry. You will also leverage your premium skill in reading construction drawings to interpret project plans effectively. With relevant skills, you will contribute to the successful completion of projects while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Qualifications

• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools for construction tasks
• Experience in concrete finishing, tile, drywall, painting and carpentry
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Knowledge of residential construction practices
• Familiarity with construction estimating and restoration techniques
• Skills in caulking, cabinet installation, and construction painting
• Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
