Skilled Carpenter / Framer (Residential Construction)

Location: City of Greater Sudbury - Local Applicants Only

Due to increased workload, we are seeking a

highly experienced Skilled Carpenter/Framer

to join our growing residential construction team. This role is intended for seasoned professionals who take pride in their workmanship, understand job-site accountability, and are comfortable working in all weather conditions.

This position is open only to candidates who currently live in and are residents of the City of Greater Sudbury. Applications from outside the area will not be considered.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for framing residential homes from engineered drawings, coordinating with team members and subcontractors, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Mandatory Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience

in residential carpentry and framing

Current resident of the City of Greater Sudbury

Proven ability to

read and interpret construction blueprints and drawings

Strong working knowledge of: Residential framing systems Truss installation and assembly Engineered floor systems General construction best practices Solid understanding of

job site safety regulations and procedures

Valid Ontario G driver's licence

with a

clean driver abstract

Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a

consistent full-time schedule

Able to work independently as well as lead and collaborate with a team

Assets

Access to basic carpentry tools Previous experience supervising or coordinating crew members

Key Responsibilities

Read and build directly from architectural and engineered drawings Frame residential homes from foundation to lock-up Install windows and doors Coordinate and manage peers by assigning tasks and maintaining workflow Work alongside and/or oversee subcontractors as required Communicate daily with the Project Coordinator and Head Supervisor regarding progress, timelines, and issues Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site Submit

accurate weekly timesheets

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly wage: $35-$45
