The Skilled Trades College is Ontario's premier construction training institution. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Electrician to join our team as an Instructor. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to educating students in a classroom setting, fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students. Candidates mut hold a valid Certificate of Qualification.

Responsibilities

Deliver STC lesson plans that align with curriculum standards. Educate students on various subjects, ensuring comprehension and retention of material. Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and collaboration. Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and evaluations, providing constructive feedback. Maintain classroom discipline and manage student behavior effectively. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional strategies and share best practices. Stay updated on educational trends and incorporate innovative teaching techniques into the curriculum.
Requirements

Valid Electrical Certificate of Qualification. Previous experience in a teaching or instructional role is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to engage students and foster a love for learning. Proficient in using educational technology and tools to enhance instruction. A commitment to professional development and continuous learning in the field of education.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
