Work collaboratively with engineers, designers and drafters in the preparation of deliverables to BBA and client standards Assist in the preparation of design deliverables under the supervision of the project engineers. Assist in calculations and studies Assist in site inspections, testing and commissioning at client sites.

Summary of certifications and job requirements





Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from a recognized university Member in good standing with EGBC and registered as an EIT Minimum 1 year of experience in engineering Familiarity with reading and preparing electrical schematics of various types (single lines, three lines, and interconnection drawings) Knowledge of MS Office and other database applications Basic knowledge of HV/MV/LV apparatus and safety in electrical installations Strong communication (verbal and written in English), interpersonal, and relationship-building skills A valid driver's license Able to travel to customer sites and other BBA offices within Canada, the USA, and international destinations for project short-term assignments, such as site meetings, field reviews, site assessments, tests, and more Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Quebec Ability to draft technical documents in both languages Asset: Knowledge of power systems (HV, MV, LV) Asset: Knowledge of electrical study software such as PSCAD, PSSE, CYME, PSSE, and EMTP-RV
