Skilled Labourer -

Purpose:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Skilled Labourer to join our residential construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, proven experience in low-rise residential construction, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively to support project success.

Responsibilities:

Perform a variety of physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving heavy materials, tools, and equipment. Assist tradespeople and site supervisors with construction activities, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely. Prepare and maintain clean, organized work sites before, during, and after construction. Perform site clearing activities, including debris removal and snow clearing as needed. Follow detailed instructions from supervisors and communicate effectively to clarify tasks and expectations. Maintain strict adherence to health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel. Participate as required in workplace Health and Safety procedures and initiatives.

Knowledge, skills, abilities:

Strong physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous tasks in various weather conditions. Proven ability to work independently and adapt to changing project needs. Valid Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle (required for site mobility). Up-to-date Health and Safety Training. High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Must wear appropriate clothing for weather conditions and have their own safety boots. Need to be proficient in the usage of hand tools. Carpentry skills will be an asset. Solid understanding of residential construction methods and materials is an asset.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in residential construction (low-rise preferred). Secondary School Diploma
