Westway Construction Ltd. is seeking a reliable and hard-working

Skilled Carpenter / General Labourer

to join our growing team. You'll assist with various phases of construction projects, including framing, drywall, and finishing. This role is perfect for someone who's skilled with tools, takes pride in their work, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the construction, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures (walls, floors, framing, drywall, doors, baseboards, etc.) Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively Read and follow project plans and instructions from the Site Supervisor Help load and unload building materials, and transport materials around job sites Maintain a clean and organized work area Ensure all work is performed following safety procedures and building codes Support the lead carpenter and other trades on site as needed

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in residential or light commercial carpentry Strong knowledge of tools, construction materials, and techniques Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs Reliable transportation to various sites across the Lower Mainland Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
