About the Role

We're looking to bring on a Site Surveyor who can support our telecom construction projects with accurate field measurements, solid documentation, and clear communication. If you're comfortable being out in the field, have a good eye for detail, and enjoy keeping things organized and on track, this could be a great fit.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct site surveys for fibre, civil, aerial, and utility-related telecom construction work across Ontario. Capture accurate measurements, site details, clearances, utility locations, and environmental constraints. Prepare survey reports, sketches, photos, and documentation for engineering and construction teams. Identify potential conflicts, hazards, or constructability issues and flag them early. Work closely with project managers, designers, and field crews to ensure alignment on scope and site conditions. Ensure all survey work aligns with Ontario OHS requirements, ESA standards, and company procedures. Maintain organized survey records, files, and updates for project tracking. Support field teams with layout, staking, and verifications as needed.

Qualifications

1-3 years of experience in site surveying, construction surveying, civil/utility work, or related field. Experience in telecom construction is an asset but not required. Strong skills in field measurements, site documentation, and basic drafting (hand sketches or digital). Comfortable with tools like measuring wheels, GPS devices, laser levels, and mobile devices for field reporting. Valid Ontario G driver's licence with a clean driving record. Strong communication skills, and be able to report clearly and professionally. Ability to work independently on sites and manage multiple survey requests.
