Commissionaires BC is looking for a Site Supervisor to join our team of Regulations Enforcement Officers working with the City of Kelowna!
As the Site Supervisor for our team of Regulations Enforcement Officers (REO) with Commissionaires BC in Kelowna, you will be responsible for leading the team towards maintaining the safety and security of City of Kelowna properties, facilities, and assets. In addition to patrolling assigned areas, monitoring security systems, securing buildings, enforcing Bylaws compliance, use of Mobile Surveillance, elements of outreach work, investigating complaints, gathering evidence and information for detailed reports, and responding to incidents, you will have a focus on team leadership.
This position also offers ample opportunity and experience to work alongside RCMP and Bylaw, which is invaluable to anyone looking to enter these fields. There may be a need to appear and testify in court as a witness for certain incidents depending on their nature.
For individuals seeking Permanent Residency, this role meets the TEER 2 requirement.
We are seeking individuals who are proactive and will actively engage with their team, both coaching our REOs and offering guidance and feedback. This position ultimately involves bringing each team member first to the standard and then growing them past it.

Shift Schedule: Tuesdays - Saturdays 9am - 5pm
Pay: $32.50
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership: In addition to everything mentioned further below, which is required of all REOs at CoK, the Site Supervisor will need to be a team leader. This involves leading by example in the field and actively coaching the team on a daily basis. In addition, they will be writing and conducting Performance Reviews, issuing Disciplinaries, and supporting each team member in the workplace.
Administrative Tasks: While this kind of work will be kept to a minimum, it will involve maintaining and submitting Timesheets, assisting with new trainee onboarding, communications with city staff, and ensuring clear communication up and down the Chain of Command.
Patrolling: Conduct substantial foot and vehicle patrols of assigned areas, including buildings, parking lots, and public spaces to find persons breaking the law, to deter and detect security threats or breaches, and the securing of facilities.
Monitoring: Operate and monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
By-law Enforcement: Under Bylaw No.10680 Parks and Public Spaces Bylaw, ensure compliance by all persons in our designated sites through progressive escalation. Some commonly enforced bylaws include:
