PURPOSE OF THE JOB


The purpose of the job is to manage all the manufacturing activities on a site for the different projects, including the responsibilities linked to the position as hierarchical manager of all the employees of the manufacturing organization of the site, and to assure the continuous development of the manufacturing métier on the site.



MAIN RESPONSABILITIES


The main responsibilities for Site Manufacturing activities are

  • Responsible for manufacturing equipment management (Investment requirements, OEE, Utilization ratio, …)
  • Contribution to site assets optimization (CAPEX reductions, CAPEX optimizations, Flexible manufacturing lines, ...)
  • Contribution to site/Alstom Indus 4.0 deployment initiatives (AOS, Automation, Digitalization…)
  • Responsible for the contribution of the Manufacturing organization to the continuous performance improvement of the site,
  • Active participation to the Alstom Manufacturing Directors Network,
  • Accountable for the on time reporting of the Manufacturing KPI to central function,
  • Ensuring, with support of the EHS organization, application of all rules concerning environmental protection within the scope of activities of the manufacturing organization,

The main responsibilities as hierarchical manager of all employees of the Manufacturing organization are
  • Accountable for time management (presence management and activity management) of all employees, and compliance with local legislation,
  • Accountable for continuously improving occupational safety of all employees, including contractors (if applicable) working for the manufacturing organization
  • Accountable for the development of all employees, which means further development of the qualification matrix for product-related and technology-related processes, as well as general technological and personal qualification,
  • Accountable for the availability of the required resources, according to workload and production planning
  • Accountable for the optimization of the overall workload of the manufacturing organization,
  • Accountable for the PMC (People Management Cycle) as per local HR policy, for the manufacturing organization,
  • Accountable for the implementation and application of the corporate policies (IRIS, EHS, OHSAS, Ethics and Compliance….), for the manufacturing organization.




Educational Requirements


Mandatory:
  • Minimum: Post Secondary Education
  • The educational requirement can also be obtained by means of experience

Desirable:


Experience


Mandatory:
  • Previous position in an industrial environment
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Management or Leadership/Supervision of department


Desirable:
  • experience in Railway industry, preferably within an industrialization environment
  • previous operational position in a manufacturing site
  • previous position as Line Manager
