If you are passionate about improving healthcare for rural residents, this could be your chance to make a difference in the lives of the people who live and work in this vibrant community.Description:The Site Manager is a key leadership role in the South Zone Clinical Operations team and reports directly to the South Zone Director for Rural West Sites. This position is responsible and accountable for providing the direction, leadership and organization of the Milk River Health Centre site clinical operations within the Emergency Department, Ambulatory Care, Long Term Care -Type A and Community Transition Beds. The Site Manager is the first contact point for all Site-based issues, concerns, functions and operational decision-making. Including infrastructure issues such as power outages, space management/allocation, structural and functional supports to maintain safe patient, staff and visitor care. The Site Manager is the on-site lead and coordinator for Site Command Post responses and emergency/disaster management. The Site Manager is responsible and accountable for coordination and implementation of provincial initiatives, new services and community engagement through collaboration and communication with relevant stakeholders, agencies and departments. The Site Manager is responsible for Human Resource allocation including recruitment, hiring, performance management and retention. This position is responsible and accountable for effective stewardship of the allocated AHS budget for Milk River Type A Continuing Care, Ambulatory Care, CTB and Emergency Department at the Health Centre.

Required Qualifications:Eligible for registration with applicable Alberta professional College. Current Provider level BLS. Minimum of 3 years Emergency Department experience in a rural area, including CTAS certification/training. Progressive leadership experience in an acute care environment in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity. Including LTC Type A facility, Acute Care and ED. Strong organizational skills, client/patient-focused orientation, and commitment to excellence in providing long-term care and emergency services. Demonstrated ability collaborating with physicians, staff and stakeholders/other healthcare professionals. Additional Required Qualifications:Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Computer proficiency. Connect Care training and experience. Preferred Qualifications:Experience managing community-based programs and services. Demonstrated competency in leading self, engaging others, achieving results, building relationships/coalitions and championing system change.
