As a crucial member of the Clinical Learning and Simulation Centre (CLSC) team, the Simulation Program Assistant Manager plays a key leadership role in facilitating the simulation curriculum delivery. Reporting to the Simulation Program Manager, the Simulation Program Assistant Manager is responsible for the delivery of simulation-based education. In this role, the Simulation Program Assistant Manager works with multiple internal and external stakeholders and applies their expertise in experiential education to support the direction and development of a comprehensive criterion-based framework for simulation. The Simulation Program Assistant Manager supports and mentor's clinical experts/educators across the continuum of care by providing expertise for the design, validation and evaluation of the curriculum and training in simulation-based education. They will also liaise with collaborative disciplines utilizing the centre to facilitate a simulation curriculum. The Simulation Program Assistant Manager plays an instrumental role in supporting the integration of simulation within healthcare.
In this role, the Simulation Program Assistant Manager facilitates the delivery of simulation and process improvement, supports the implementation of new simulation methodologies, and facilitates communication with faculty, educators, and students regarding simulation scenarios. They are responsible for ensuring that all simulation programs are delivered to meet the unique needs of healthcare professionals, align with best practices, and promote continuous quality improvement.
