Sign FX is a well established sign company in Ottawa that has been serving clients across Canada for over 25 years. As we continue to grow we are looking to add a sign fabricator / welder to our team in our manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities:

Understand and navigate work orders and shop drawings with excellent attention to detail Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Confident usage of metal fabrication tools including measuring tools, hand tools, power tools etc. Cutting, sanding, welding, finishing, assembling fabricated metal signs and sign components Construct different sign types from start to finish
Assets:

Knowledge of the Matthews Paint system Work with acrylic and lexan sign faces Experience installing LED Lighting systems into sign cabinets Experience with CNC or laser operation Forklift Certification Fall Arrest Certification Suspended Powered Platform Certification Aerial Lift Certification Proven experience as a Sign Shop Fabricator or in a similar role within the sign industry. Strong understanding of sign fabrication techniques, materials, and manufacturing processes. Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate client requirements into visual designs. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and clients
Qualified applicants will have experience in metal manufacturing. Ideal applicants will additionally have experience manufacturing all types of signage, acrylic faces, custom metal work, pylon signs, channel letters etc. The successful candidate will fabricate signs from start to finish. She/he will be able to work successfully independently, as well as with others on large projects when needed.

Knowledge and experience of safely using a variety of machines and tools for extended periods of time are required

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
