Primoris Canada is an infrastructure contractor serving major firms in the oil, gas, power, petrochemical, and heavy oil industries and include services covering tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction and maintenance, piping fabrication, and pipeline integrity services.

SUMMARY

The Side Boom Operator is involved in the operation of a side boom to move and set pipe. This work exists primarily outdoors and may be physically demanding.

Hourly Rate:

$48.59 (Exclusive of employer contributions for vacation/statutory, health and welfare, RSP, pension, and education and training)

JOB DUTIES

Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards Operate side boom (and various other equipment as required) in a safe and effective manner Move materials/equipment, snow, and dirt Load/unload materials Complete pre-job equipment inspections Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings May perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years experience operating a sideboom Must be in possession of a valid operator's card for the equipment utilized Must have previous experience operating equipment on an industrial work site Experience working in tight spaces is considered an asset CSTS-09, CSO, or BSO Must be physically able to lift 50lbs Able to work well in a team environment Organized and self-motivated
