Laurentplant is currently looking for a Shop Floor Inspector to join our QC team on the

day

shift.

As a quality inspector you will be responsible for:

Perform Shop Floor Inspection - Checks

dimensional and GD&T

. Evaluate and verify the product and processes in accordance with customer requirements during both

in-process

and

final

inspections Sign-off on completed work, verifying that it meets all required standards. Prepares inspection reports according to standards. Write detailed

non-conformance reports

. Performs, without supervision, all activities related to the inspection and control of parts, upon receipt, in production, and at the final delivery. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency in manufacturing processes. Participate in analyzing defects or issues to determine the root cause. Performs any other related task. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure the safety of the products and the workplace.

Proposed schedule

Monday to Friday from

6:00 AM to 2:30 PM


Skills in demand



Diplome d'etudes collegiales (DEC) in Mechanical Engineering.

2 years

of experience as a QC Inspector preferably in Aerospace manufacturing CNC shop.

Preferred to have

experience on CMM (Mitutoyo). Demonstrated ability to make quick decisions. Attention to detail and sense of observation. Analytical thinking; understanding and ability to apply mathematics. Capable of handling weights up to 20 kg. Intermediate level of English required. Use of

basic measuring equipment

(micrometers, calipers, dial bore gages, Micro-hite, etc.);

Read and interpret Customer Drawings

and specifications for products and processes (English and French); Use of computer systems; Read and understand procurement documents for external parts and services; Familiarity with

common aeronautical manufacturing processes

and ability to visually inspect parts subject to surface treatments; Metrology basics (calibration, measuring equipment); General knowledge of materials used in aeronautics.
