Job Summary:



Hydracore Drills Ltd., a leading manufacturer of exploration drilling equipment, is seeking a

Shop Floor Supervisor & Scheduler

to oversee daily operations on the production floor. This role combines hands-on team supervision with production planning responsibilities, ensuring optimal workflow, quality output, and on-time delivery of manufacturing orders.

Key Responsibilities:



Production Scheduling & Planning



Schedule and release production orders using

Microsoft Business Central

. Prioritize jobs and balance workloads based on resource availability and deadlines. Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to accommodate delays or changes.

Team Supervision



Assign daily tasks to welders, mechanical assemblers, and hydraulic technicians. Monitor work performance and provide guidance, support, and mentorship. Conduct regular team huddles to communicate goals, updates, and expectations.

Problem Solving & Quality Assurance



Resolve shop-floor issues related to workflow, parts availability, and equipment downtime. Collaborate with engineering and inventory staff to address discrepancies or design challenges. Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality procedures, and company policies.

Performance & Administration



Conduct employee performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback. Identify training needs and support skills development across the team.
Track time and labor records and approve daily timesheets.

Qualifications:



3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Experience using

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

(or similar ERP system). Strong understanding of production planning and shop floor workflows. Familiarity with hydraulic and mechanical assembly processes is an asset. Ability to read engineering drawings and BOMs. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Assets:



Forklift and/or overhead crane certification.
Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement background.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
