Managing a team of shipping clerks and delivery truck drivers (Approximately 10 employees)
Ensuring finished goods are wrapped, packaged, and loaded on appropriate racks for delivery
Arranging finished goods in an efficient and organized manner in preparation for loading onto delivery trucks
Verify finished goods on racks agrees to delivery slips before being loaded onto delivery trucks
Final quality control check of finished goods before leaving for delivery
Ensure team keep a clean and organized shipping area at all times
Reporting to head office any damages to finished goods that require remakes
Operating forklift to move racks of glass and to load on trucks as necessary
Preparing necessary delivery and shipping documents for drivers of delivery trucks
Assisting in demurrage of finished goods between Silliker facilities
Maintain rack tracking system for timely return of company assets from customer locations
Clearly communicating expected weekly delivery schedule with all teams and updating with changes in a timely manner
Collaborating with other departments to resolve any shipping issues
Ad hoc requests as per the CFO
Requirements:
Previous management experience in a shipping/logistics capacity
Ability to be flexible and adapt in a fast-paced, fluid environment where routes and delivery volumes fluctuate from week to week
Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and calculating quantities
Ability to lift heavy objects and operate material handling equipment (e.g. forklifts, pallet jacks)
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order picking and inventory management
Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
Proficient computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking systems
