Monday to Friday, Days

The

Shipping Coordinator

, reporting to the Sr. Logistics Coordinator. In this position, you will be responsible for the organization of all outgoing shipments, supporting inventory management, ensuring quality of the products leaving the site, coordination of materials and paperwork to ensure high-quality and on time arrival to worksites and/or clients.

Experience



Assist in the shipment of custom millwork items, ensuring all products are handled with care preventing damage, in an accurate and efficient manner Work closely and communicate with shipping team, production, project teams and others In conjunction with Quality team, timely coordination and review in order to determine required packing supplies skid size, packing materials and how best to load the truck. In conjunction with Quality team ensure paperwork, labels and tags for materials / components as required for inter-shop/departmental movement and for shipping. Delegate work responsibility to shipping employees based on daily business need Ability to use warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks Able to perform the physical nature of the role (standing, walking, lifting, etc.) Track and update the status of shipments arrival to project sites. Trains new employees on company and shipping department procedures, once onboarded. Maintain accurate inventory records for all millwork items, conducting regular cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies, as needed. Ensure products ready for packing and loading is defect free. Performs critical actions to complete partially finished units to ensure it is ready for shipping (hardware installation, minor deficiency repairs). Troubleshoot issues that arise during the handling / storage of products. Conduct all work in a safe manner in keeping with OHSA and PSF's Health & Safety Policies

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities



Ability to interpret and read architectural blueprints / Shop drawings 2+ years' experience in a manufacturing/production, wood product or custom manufacturing industries is an asset Understanding of Finished Goods inventory processes Demonstrated supervisory tasks. Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Office, especially Excel (working with tables) for inventory/reports Solid understanding of warehouse operations best practices, including maintenance, organization, and packing and labeling/storage procedures Excellent verbal and written communication skills Time management: ability to effectively, multitask and prioritize tasks in order to be efficient and maintain the shipping schedule Sense of urgency: ability to coordinate with production to fulfill shipment Problem Solving: ability to identify issue and ability to resolve or escalate prior to shipping to customer Focus: Work independently and remain focused on the assigned task Product Knowledge (Woodworking) is an asset Industry knowledge (Millwork) is an asset Must be able to lift 50 lbs
