Job Description

International Thermal Research (ITR) was founded in 1984 to provide world-class research and development in the field of diesel-fired burner systems. Since then, ITR has obtained over 40 patents in the field. ITR's products include the OASIS Hydronic Heating System for the RV market; the HURRICANE Hydronic Heating System for the marine market; the PIONEER line of portable non-powered heaters for mining camps, tents and temporary structures; the SPACE HEATER SMALL, the SPACE HEATER ARCTIC, the BARRACKS HEATER, and the MODERN BURNER UNIT, which are all mainstays of the U.S. Army and are used worldwide. International Thermal Research has also been active in designing custom heating systems for use in diverse applications such as mobile hospitals, off-the-grid structures, cleaning applications, and extreme weather transportation.

ITR products are designed, tested and manufactured in-house in Richmond, British Columbia, with a US distribution, service and marketing base in Vancouver, Washington, and with over 160 supporting distributors, dealerships and service centers throughout North America and the United Kingdom.

General Summary:



ITR's Shipping Clerk is responsible for making shipping arrangements for all outgoing and incoming parts, while maintaining best pricing for the shipments. While not working on shipping, this role also requires assisting with other work around the office.

Duties and Responsibilities:



Coordinate and monitor inbound and outbound shipments. Communicate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and carriers to schedule and track deliveries. Prepare shipping documents such as BOLs, packing lists, and customs paperwork. Track inventory levels and assist with cycle counts and stock reconciliation. Maintain accurate shipping/receiving records in ERP or inventory management systems. Resolve shipping-related issues or delays quickly and effectively. Analyze shipping costs and look for opportunities to reduce freight expenses. Answer phones and direct calls. Other office work as required

Job Specifications:



Minimum 2 years of relevant shipping clerk experience. Knowledge of standard computer tools (Microsoft Office). Proven communication and interpersonal skills. Analytical aptitude, organizational and planning skills. Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
