As a

Shipping & Receiving Associate

at Checkpoint Systems Canada, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of goods in and out of our facility. From coordinating outbound deliveries and preparing customs documents to inspecting received materials and maintaining inventory, you will be responsible for keeping our shipping and receiving operations running smoothly. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments to meet customer expectations and delivery deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:



Packaging & Shipping Compliance

- Ensure all goods are packed according to company and customer specifications, following established guidelines and quality standards.

Order Verification & Accuracy

- Counter-check packed goods against shipping manifests to prevent discrepancies and ensure accurate deliveries.

Outbound Logistics Coordination

- Work closely with production, operations, clients, and couriers to schedule and manage outbound shipments.

Customer Communication

- Coordinate with customers to confirm delivery dates, address inquiries, and provide shipment updates as needed.

Carrier & Courier Management

- Arrange pickups with domestic and international carriers, track shipments, and request delivery confirmations from couriers.

International Shipping & Customs

- Prepare customs documentation and ensure compliance with regulations for international shipments.

Receiving & Quality Control

- Unload, inspect, and verify incoming goods and raw materials, identifying any damaged items and logging them accordingly.

Inventory Management

- Conduct inventory counts for finished goods and raw materials, ensuring proper stock levels and accuracy.

Reach Truck Operation

- Safely operate a reach truck to transport, organize, and store materials in designated locations, following all safety protocols and best practices.

Operational Support & Safety

- Maintain replenishment of shipping and packing supplies, operate courier systems (FedEx, UPS, etc.), and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Cross-Department Collaboration

- Build productive relationships across teams to improve workflow efficiency and meet company objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements:



Strong

analytical skills

with the ability to assess and improve processes. Excellent

oral and written communication skills

to interact with internal teams and customers. Strong

critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

to resolve shipping and inventory issues. Experience operating

reach trucks, pump trucks, and walkies

(certification preferred).

Proficiency in computer applications

related to shipping, inventory, and logistics. Ability to

work effectively within a team

while also managing individual responsibilities. High level of

focus, motivation, and attention to detail

in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational and time management skills

to handle multiple priorities efficiently. Ability to

multi-task and adapt

to changing priorities and work demands.
