We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipper-Receiver Office Clerk to manage day-to-day shipping, receiving, and administrative logistics tasks. This hybrid role also involves front-line customer service for clients across Canada and the US, requiring strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping & Receiving Duties:
Ship and receive all parts and materials across Canada and the US.
Coordinate packing, labeling, and weighing of shipments; track and record shipping costs.
Communicate with carrier representatives (FedEx, Purolator, UPS, etc.) to obtain quotes, schedule pickups/deliveries, and prepare required shipping documentation.
Update the status of inbound and outbound orders in the CRM system (Zoho CRM training provided).
Maintain compliance with shipping policies related to weight, condition, quality, and timeliness.
Investigate and resolve issues such as delays, incorrect shipments, or damaged goods.
Prepare international shipping documents, including customs paperwork (asset).
Office & Customer Service Support:
Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, or social media in a professional and timely manner.
Handle order placements, exchanges, account updates, and cancellations.
Update customer records with accurate shipping and contact information.
Provide information on products, policies, warranties, and current promotions.
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve customer concerns or discrepancies.
Support production or office tasks during peak periods when needed.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or office administration.
Proficient with major courier platforms (FedEx, Purolator, UPS, etc.).
Experience using CRM systems (Zoho CRM preferred) and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
High attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Customer-focused mindset with the ability to handle complaints professionally.
Experience with customs and international shipping documentation is a plus.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
