Egar Tool and Die is a world-class manufacturer of automotive stamping dies, production stampings and welded assemblies. Located in Cambridge, Ontario, Egar has been supplying complex progressive and transfer dies to the North American Tier I automotive industry for more than 40 years.

Job Summary:

Join our team as a

Shipper / Receiver

and play a key role in managing the flow of materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position involves

shipping and receiving

,

inventory control

, and

material handling

using forklifts and overhead cranes. If you have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and experience in logistics or warehouse operations, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

Safely

load and unload shipments

of raw materials and finished goods. Perform

quality inspections

per control plans using basic measuring tools (micrometers, verniers). Operate

forklifts, overhead cranes, and material handling equipment

. Maintain accurate

shipping and receiving documentation

in the company database. Prepare

packing slips, customs paperwork, and Advance Shipping Notices (ASN)

for outbound shipments. Ensure compliance with

FIFO inventory management

and proper labeling of materials. Keep the

warehouse and finished goods area organized and clean

. Communicate with the Materials Manager regarding potential short shipments. Update and maintain

inventory records, customer files, and mill certifications

. Ensure visitors follow company

safety policies and procedures

. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent. Valid

forklift and overhead crane licenses

(preferred). Experience in

shipping and receiving

,

warehouse operations

, or

logistics

. Ability to use

Windows-based PCs

, scanners, and inventory management systems. Knowledge of

materials management systems

is an asset. Familiarity with

basic measuring instruments

(micrometers, verniers). Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 55 per week
