Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service and team management, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Shift Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading the team, managing the kitchen, and ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to guarantee food safety and compliance with health regulations.
Manage the Point of Sale (POS) system, including cash handling and transaction accuracy.
Train, mentor, and supervise staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Conduct interviews and assist with hiring new team members to build a strong workforce.
Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in both front-of-house and back-of-house areas.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Implement operational procedures that enhance efficiency while maintaining high standards of hospitality.
Requirements
Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within the food industry.
Strong knowledge of food handling practices, food safety regulations, and kitchen operations.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
Proficiency in using POS systems; experience with Micros POS is a plus.
Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences.
Background in food preparation, cooking, serving, or barista experience is highly desirable.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
