Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service and team management, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Shift Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading your team, managing the kitchen, and ensuring smooth operations during your shift.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and quality service. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high standards of food safety and quality. Manage cash handling procedures and ensure accurate transactions using the POS system, including Micros POS. Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance, providing guidance on customer service and food handling best practices. Conduct interviews for new hires and participate in the onboarding process for new team members. Maintain cleanliness and organization in both front-of-house and back-of-house areas. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure a positive dining experience. Implement policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency while adhering to health regulations.

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within the food industry. Strong supervisory experience with a focus on team management and leadership. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations effectively. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and point-of-sale systems (Micros POS preferred). Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in restaurant management. Experience in interviewing candidates for various positions within the restaurant environment. Background in hospitality, including hotel or barista experience, is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team while fostering a positive work environment.
