We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality food preparation, maintaining customer satisfaction, and managing staff effectively during your shift.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to guarantee adherence to food safety standards.
Manage the Point of Sale (POS) system, including cash handling and transaction accuracy.
Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to foster a positive work environment and enhance performance.
Conduct interviews for new hires and participate in the onboarding process.
Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain cleanliness in all areas of the restaurant.
Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to maintain high levels of customer service.
Collaborate with upper management to implement operational improvements and achieve business goals.
Requirements
Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry.
Strong knowledge of food handling, safety practices, and cooking techniques.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred.
Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
Previous experience in supervising staff, interviewing candidates, and team management is essential.
Background in hospitality or barista experience is a plus.
