We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a high level of operational efficiency.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and food safety regulations. Manage point-of-sale (POS) systems, including cash handling and transaction accuracy. Provide training and support to team members in areas such as food handling, customer service, and restaurant management practices. Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new staff members. Maintain inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Foster a positive work environment through effective team management and leadership practices. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues to enhance guest satisfaction.

Experience

Proven experience in the food industry, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations. Previous supervisory or management experience is highly desirable. Familiarity with POS systems, specifically Micros POS, is an asset. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling. Experience in interviewing and training staff members is beneficial. Barista experience or hotel experience is a plus but not required.
