Overview

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and millwrighting. This position requires you to work by yourself in a group setting along with a team . This role involves working with various tools and machinery to construct, install, and weld together assemblies for agricultural grain dryers The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects. Will pay according to experience

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately weld sheet metal components. Operate and troubleshoot machinery such as, plasma cutters, and welding equipment (MIG and TIG). Perform welding tasks including MIG welding, TIG welding, and other fabrication techniques to join metal parts securely. Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate fabrication. Rigging materials and equipment safely for installation or movement within the workspace. Utilize forklifts or cranes when necessary for material handling or installation tasks. Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to safety protocols related to manufacturing and construction sites.

Requirements

Proven experience with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings. Strong mechanical knowledge related to sheet metal fabrication and assembly processes. Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, plasma cutting, and working with press brake machines. Familiarity with rigging techniques, crane operation, machining processes, and the use of hand tools and power tools. Ability to read calipers and other precision measurement devices accurately. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred but not required.

Pay: $25.00-$29.00 per hour
