Job Description

Fraser Valley Refrigeration is looking for a sheet metal journeyman who is looking to grow in their career. This role would be working on commercial projects and residential mid-rise projects.

Responsibilities:

Perform ductwork installations, repair, maintenance, and service individually, and as part of a team. Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes. Measure and order material as required. Complete required documentation (i.e. electronic timesheets, job reports etc.) for services performed. Work respectfully with other sub-trades and site super. Lay out, measure, and mark sheet metal. Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specifications. Provide services to both internal and external customers. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Using hand and power tools including grinders, wire cutters, power drills, shears, etc. Instruct and train apprentices.

Qualifications:

A proven systematic and organized approach to multitasking. Demonstrated ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks with minimum supervision. Journeyman Ticket. 4+ years of experience. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines. Professional and exceptional communication skills, both written & oral. Provide services to both internal and external customers.

Compensation & Benefits: Local 280 Union:

Overtime Pay Excellent Benefits and Pension plan. Company vehicle and gas card for qualified employees Above industry average wages Wage/Salary - Determined by Union Contract. $48.15 per hour 12% Vacation and 5.7% Pension paid for by employer.
