Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Apprentice (2nd to 3rd Year) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in metal fabrication metals and installation, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This position involves working with various hand tools and machinery to create, assemble, and install sheet metal / architectural products. The Sheet Metal Apprentice will assist Journeyman and in some instances fabricate and install on his/her own products ensuring that projects are completed accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and install sheet metal components according to specifications and blueprints Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine project requirements Utilize hand tools and machinery for cutting, bending, and shaping metal sheets Perform welding tasks as needed to ensure structural integrity of installations Conduct routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safe operation Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working on-site

Skills

Proficient in the use of hand tools related to sheet metal work Strong understanding of construction principles and practices Experience in metal fabrications is a plus Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Familiarity with welding techniques and equipment Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
