Leadbetters is looking to add a September 8, 2025 team!

The Set-Up Technician assembles, and functions tests all equipment needed for the production day based off the production schedule, assisting in repairs and training of operators to ensure a smooth and successful start to each production day.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assemble all equipment in a timely and efficient manner. Test all equipment prior to production starting to ensure a smooth shift start. Assist production staff with placement of all equipment needed for their production run on a day-to-day basis, IE tables, tapers, metal detectors etc. Perform high risk check list to ensure food safety. Ensures all tools/parts used in day-to-day tasks are clean and accounted for. Perform hourly line checks to ensure smooth operation on all production lines. Complete all assigned PMP tasks IE running a jetting machine to keep the floor drains free flowing, inspecting hand operated pump carts. Assist senior techs with repairs and daily tasks such as machine tear down for valve inspection and cleaning, checking proper alignment for motors and gear boxes to shafts. Inspect and clean evaporation coils to ensure proper temperatures are maintained on the floor. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Hours and compensation:

Full time position Monday - Friday 3:30am to 1:00pm. Weekend work is required; this is usually every other Saturday for a half day depending on the needs of the business. Starting wage $20-$22/hr. depending on experience. Company BBQ's and events.
Education, Skills and Experience Required:

Ability to use basic hand tools, wrenches, grinders, drills and measuring devices. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to follow proper safety protocols. Be able to work in a fast-paced changing environment. Motivated self-starter that's able to work in a team environment and independently with little supervision. 4-5 years of experience working on production equipment, cars, lawn mowers etc. is an asset. Willingness to learn and grow skill set in a growing and changing business. Prior experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting is an asset. Good knowledge of mechanics / Equipment / Machinery Knowledge of GMPs and working to food safety standards is an advantage.
