Summary

:
Responsible for set-up and adjustment of all CNC equipment. Supports manufacturing plant operations by organizing and providing information, and assists team members in problem-solving.

Job TasksSet-up

Responsible for machine set-up and editing as required. Must be able to read CMM reports, relate them to blueprints, and make necessary offsets and fixture adjustments. Assists in improving efficiencies and identifying areas for improvement. Provides support and direction for process monitoring. Performs forklift operation, tool pre-setting, and tool maintenance as needed. Assists with resolving machine maintenance issues. Carries out Cell Leader and/or Supervisor tasks when necessary. Operates various machinery, including but not limited to leak test equipment, vertical and horizontal CNCs.

Promotes safe working procedures, ensuring safety policies and procedures are understood and followed. Complies with all applicable Quality and Environmental management system requirements.
Continual Improvement

Participates in work team meetings to identify and resolve problems, communicate company information, and foster teamwork. Assists in providing leadership in problem-solving and continual improvement. Consults with departments, suppliers, and vendors to exchange information and resolve issues.
Other

Complies with company policies and procedures. Performs other tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications

Education/Experience

:

Degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing. Must have experience in general machining, assembly, set-up, and/or repair in an automotive production environment. Must demonstrate basic knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication principles. Working knowledge of equipment, tools, methods, machining, and assembly processes required. Minimum of five years' relevant work experience.

Language Skills

:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Proven verbal and written communication skills with co-workers, departments, management, vendors, and customers.

Physical Requirements

:

Ability to stand, sit, bend, and squat as part of daily work. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs or transfer tooling, parts, containers, and raw materials with assistance. Must have adequate vision (close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to focus).

Training Requirements

:

Must be open to specific job training requirements as outlined in the job-training checklist, evaluations, and/or company-mandated training.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
