Course Description:




This course is a continuation of MGAB01H3. Students are encouraged to take it immediately after completing MGAB01H3. Technical topics include the reporting and interpretation of debt and equity issues, owners' equity, cash flow statements and analysis. Through cases, choices of treatment and disclosure are discussed, and the development of professional judgment is encouraged.

Qualifications:




Minimum qualifications: Experience with teaching senior students in university and a Ph.D. degree is required. Demonstrated excellence in teaching or presenting and mastery of the subject area.


Preferred qualifications: IIn addition to the minimum, several years related progressive professional experience. Previous experience teaching a related course at UTSC with consistent, strong course evaluations. For the candidate to be fully qualified, having CPA/ACCA is preferred, together with experience in teaching similar courses.

Duties:




All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration, and marking of assignments, tests, and exams; calculation and submission of grades, holding regular office hours, and maintaining reasonable availability for student and administrative contact, supervision of T.A. assigned to course.

Salary for a half-course (0.50 FCEs) inclusive of vacation pay

: The Sessional Lecturer I rate of pay will be $9,820.70. Sessional Lecturer I-Long Term rate of pay will be $10,510.04. Sessional Lecturer II rate of pay will be $10,510.04. Sessional Lecturer II-Long Term rate of pay will be $10,760.28. Sessional Lecturer III rate of pay will be $10,760.28. Sessional Lecturer III-Long Term rate of pay will be $11,030.36.
