Position DescriptionThe Department of Earth, Energy, and Environment, within the Faculty of Science, invites applications for a Spring 2024 Term Sessional Instructor.Each successful candidate will have responsibilities for lecture instruction, tutorial co-ordination, and any other associated duties for this 3-unit course during the Spring 2024 term.Geology 305 - Introduction to Dinosaurs
Geology 305 is an introduction to the biology, evolution, and extinction of dinosaurs; geographic and temporal distribution, habitats, and ecology of the various dinosaur groups; preservation, exploration, collection, preparation, and identification of dinosaur fossils.Spring 2024 Term Dates: Wednesday, May 1, 2024 - Sunday, June 23, 2024Teaching Schedule: Please refer to for course times.Qualifications:

  • A graduate degree in Geoscience or a related field is required.
  • Experience with the Desire 2 Learn (D2L) course management system, knowledge of best practices for assessments, and techniques for engaging students will be considered assets.
  • Previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level is a strong asset.
