The successful candidate will have responsibilities for instruction and associated duties for all of this 3-unit course, which will be offered in person. There are no laboratories associated with this course. It may be possible for two people to share the teaching duties, so those interested in teaching only half of the course (e.g., animal biology portion or plant biology portion) are encouraged to apply.
Biology 371 - Comparative Biology of Plants and Animals
BIOL 371 provides an exploration of how multicellular organisms meet the challenges of living, both as individuals, and in an evolutionary context. Parallels and divergence between plants and animals are illustrated in their responses to the challenges they face, with the water-to-land transition forming a central theme in shaping the form and function of plant and animal life.

Delivery Mode:
All course components will be delivered in-person.

Lectures are MWF 1200-1350
Qualifications:
The successful candidate requires a minimum of an MSc in one of the biological sciences, with a PhD preferred. They also require evidence of teaching effectiveness and previous teaching experience, preferably in this course.
