The Environmental Studies Program at the University of Prince Edward Island has an opening for a Sessional Lecturer to teach the following two-week intensive course in the Summer 2025 semester (May 26-June 6, 2025). This position is subject to final budgetary approval.Please note: the course offered below will be taught in person, unless otherwise specified as an online course.ENV 3020/BIO 3020 AQUACULTURE AND THE ENVIRONMENT (Cross-listed)This field course will examine interactions between aquaculture and the environment by providing an overview of the global field of aquaculture with an emphasis on the aquaculture industry on Prince Edward Island. Topics covered include policy and regulation, water quality, production systems, disease and pest management, and the effect of aquaculture on the environment and human communities. Three hours lecture, three hours field.This two-week intensive course runs Monday-Friday 8:30 - 4:20 pm. from May 26 - June 6, 2025Qualifications:Successful applicants should have a minimum of a Master's degree in an environmental or related field, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience in the subject area for the course.
