A Sessional Lecturer is required to teach a three-hour credit course in Journalism, subject to budgetary approval.
Please note: all courses offered below will be taught in person, unless otherwise specified as an online course.
JOUR 3010: The Long Form
The course will be offered in the Second Semester (Winter) (January-May 2023)
JOUR 3010: The Long Form provides students with the opportunity to improve their reporting skills and to broaden their perspective by taking the long view of contemporary issues and events. In addition to developing their expertise with enterprise journalism, narrative journalism, and documentary storytelling, students will complete a final project that reflects best practices in the long form
Qualifications:
The successful applicant should have a Master's degree or PhD and a background in journalism and media studies. A publishing, research, outreach, and teaching background in the subject would be an asset.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Sessional Roster in the academic unit.
