What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do
The Department of Psychology invites applications for a Non-regular Faculty position to begin as early as July 1st, 2023 to teach primarily on-campus (face to face) undergraduate courses. Specifically, candidates are sought to teach up to 8 sections (subject to availability) of PSYC 100 and/or 101 (Introduction to Psychology I and II) and/or possibly 200 level courses during Summer 2023, Fall 2023, and Spring 2024 terms. Candidates must be competent to teach Introduction to Psychology and courses in at least two other areas of psychology \xe2\x80\x93 see our complete course list here:
The instructor is responsible for all aspects of course design and delivery. Non-regular faculty members are also expected to participate in professional development, and in our collegial model of decision-making and service. Additional work is likely to be available in the future, so candidates looking for future employment are encouraged to apply.
What you\xe2\x80\x99ll bring
A Masters in Psychology is required, and PhD in Psychology or PsyD is preferred. The successful candidate should provide evidence of expertise and excellent in teaching undergraduate level courses including but not limited to Introduction to Psychology, using active learning techniques.
Please submit your cover letter, CV, PSYC Candidate Course Checklist, and Sample Lesson. The Sample Lesson should contain a lesson plan and lecture slides that demonstrate how you would teach any topic in introductory psychology that would take approximately 30 minutes of class time.

Courses are primarily offered in-person.
