What you\'ll doWe seek candidates with the desire to pursue a career at Capilano University and contribute to the development of our new BSc General degree program, specifically helping with delivery of our upper-level courses, student research and industry collaboration. The successful candidate would begin lecturing 100 level biology in the Summer 2024 term including BIOL 109 Introductory Biology (Biochem, Cells, Metabolism, Genetics) and BIOL 111 General Biology II (Evolutions, Diversity of Life, Physiology, Populations, Ecology). Capilano University has a BSc General program and the successful candidate would have capacity to contribute to upper-level instruction and student research supervision
Capilano University is eligible for Tri-council research funding in the College pool, and instructors are encouraged to pursue their research interests and community/industry collaboration.
What you\'ll bringTo be considered, the candidate will have a minimum requirement of an MSc in the Biological sciences and post-secondary teaching experience.The preferred candidate will hold a PhD in the Biological Sciences, ideally with further post-doctoral research experience in industry and/or academia; private sector work experience would also be advantageous. The preferred candidate will also have experience teaching at the post-secondary level, ideally including at both the lower and upper levels; additional teaching qualifications will be considered favorably.Posting Detail InformationInternal or External Position External
