ACT473H1S L5101 - Issues in Actuarial Practice

Case study approach to current issues in life insurance, pension consulting and casualty actuarial practice. The focus of the course will be on communication and presentation. This course is Pass/Fail. Not eligible for Credit/No Credit. The course is open to students in the specialist program in actuarial science. Students in the major program in actuarial science can enrol into the course with permission of the department.

Salary

$52.26 per hour plus vacation pay

Qualifications: Two years industry experience working in the Actuarial field, ACAS or ASA. Note: Applicants may be asked to supply references.

Description of duties: Any or all of the following: tutorial teaching, grading term tests, invigilating term tests and final exams, grading homework and/or quizzes, setting tutorial quizzes.

This position includes the completion of any course work and marking not finished by April 30, 2024.
