Job Description

The successful candidate will be expected to teach skills and knowledge required to assist in the delivery of anesthesia. This includes a study of the equipment utilized in anesthesia; the technical and clinical aspects of anesthesia; the techniques for anesthetic administration; and the critical maintenance of safe anesthetic practices. The candidate must be able to teach in person every Tuesday and Thursday from 0830-0945 & 1000-1115 (excluding stats or other dates the university is closed), including any in class setup needed to successfully start instructing at 0830 and 1000.

A current CCAA credential and/or recent clinical experience working as a member of the ACT as an RRT or CCAA is preferred but not required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Canadian RRT credential

Baccalaureate degree in relevant discipline

Evidence of effective teaching/preceptoring experience

Evidence of effective teamwork and constructive communication skills

Additional preference will be given to candidates with one or more of the following:

CCAA credential and/or recent clinical experience working as a member of the ACT as an RRT or CCAA

Masters degree in relevant discipline

* Experience teaching pre-clinical RT students in a classroom setting
