The TRU Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) program applies a student-centered, supportive teaching approach that encourages students to evolve as autonomous health care providers. The Clinical Faculty role is foundational to support students in their development of clinical decision-making skills and entry-level NP practice competencies.
Clinical Faculty responsibilities include virtually supporting students and preceptors, and completing midterm and final student appraisals. Responsibilities also include offering weekly meetings or activities to support student growth and development, as well as weekly review of student practice hours, patient encounter logs, and sample chart notes.
