Under general supervision, performs labour maintenance functions on grounds.
Typical Duties
The following illustrative tasks indicate the level of skill required, and the extent of responsibility involved in this job. They in no way limit the incumbent to the tasks indicated.
a) trimming, cutting, and watering grass, shrubs, and flowers;
b) raking leaves and laying sod;
c) preparing ground for planting;
d) planting flowers, shrubs and trees;
e) working on campus cleaning details;
f) performing all maintenance and cleaning duties;
g) may operate landscape equipment, vehicles and trucks;
h) other related duties as required.
Minimum Requirements for Selection:
Education: Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Experience: One year of related work experience preferred.
Other: Physical ability to perform required duties, demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English (oral and written), ability to work under all weather conditions and may be required to work long and varied hours. Possession of a valid Provincial Class \xe2\x80\x9cG\xe2\x80\x9d driver\'s licence is preferred.
Note: This is a temporary contract that ends on September 2, 2023. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There are twelve [12] positions available.
