About the Role



As a Service Technician/Handyman at A&S Homes, you will be responsible for addressing post-construction service requests and performing a wide range of maintenance tasks in new homes. You'll work directly with homeowners to ensure timely, high-quality service and repairs, contributing to a positive customer experience. This role requires a strong attention to detail, solid construction knowledge, and a hands-on approach to solving problems. You will work both independently and collaboratively to resolve deficiencies and complete service orders efficiently.

Key Responsibilities



Working with a variety of hand and power tools (drills, nailers, sanders, etc.). Pre-pare drywall for painting, finishing and touch-ups as required Perform basic tasks including painting and filling crevices, clean facilities and managing maintenance repairs. Follow instructions as noted on deficiency forms or work order requests. Travel to and from service appointments and report back to the Service Manager and/or Customer Care Coordinator Maintain clean & efficient work area, remove debris & clean up after each job, take appropriate care to protect client's property & prevent problems before they happen. Ability to work independently or in a team as needed. Recognition that customer satisfaction is the absolute priority.

Qualifications:



Demonstrated proficiency in written/oral communication in the English language

Two or more years of experience in construction

Experience in drywall finishing and paint touch-ups

Excellent physical condition

Reliable, diligent, and punctual

Great Customer Service and Client Relations

Knowledge of Building Codes

Material Management

Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
