Service Technician

Position Summary:

The primary objective of this position is to examine and assess equipment in order to make accurate recommendations for installation, repairs and service.

Responsibilities

:

Repair manual and power mobility devices Install and repair elevating products Program and set-up basic power equipment Ensure authorization has been completed before initiating repairs Install products in client's home Instruct clients in the proper use of product Provide manual and power assessment and quotes on repairs Comply with all health and safety regulations Deliver and set up equipment Assist Sales Consultant in assessment and dispensing of equipment Accountable for shop tools provided Responsible for regular maintenance and cleanliness of vehicle Perform other duties as required

Job Knowledge or Work Experience:

2+ year experience in a service technician position is an asset Knowledge of HME (home medical equipment) products (elevating, mobility) is an asset.

Skills/Abilities:

Excellent trouble-shooting skills Ability to utilize a multi-meter Commitment and ability to provide outstanding customer service skills Effective verbal and written communication Mechanical and electrical aptitude Excellent written and verbal communication skills Independent &Team based thinking and decision making when dealing with issues related to judgment & decisions. The ability to collect data related to technical issues, and present solutions to the team & client is essential Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (outlook, work, excel, etc.)

Education:

Technical training or post-secondary diploma, certificate in relevant program
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
