About the Role: Reporting The Service Shop Supervisor reports directly to the Avionic Shops Manager. Core Competencies

Key Performance Indicators /Duties & Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and control the Avionics Service Shop resources and workload.
  • Ensure safety of all shop personnel.
  • Analyze, modify, and modernize work methods to ensure efficient and timely work priorities are met.
  • Ensure personnel are trained in appropriate safety procedures and processes are followed.
  • Understand and apply proper hazardous waste disposal methodologies.
  • Assist Manager to schedule and prioritize shop repair and work orders.
  • Evaluate performance of supervised personnel.
  • Review work orders for control the quality control.
  • Coordinate and authorize customers\' quotes based on internal and external customer needs.
  • Research support for new capabilities, equipment, and processes.
  • Perform repairs and evaluations on advanced equipment (e.g., Radar, Rad Alt, Autopilot, Transceivers, etc.)
  • Gain proficiency in CVRs and FDRs for SCA inspections.
  • Conduct SCA inspections in the Service Shop.
  • Ensure timely delivery of evaluations and repairs.
  • Provide Service Shop training to new and existing technicians.
Qualifications
  • Ability to motivate employees.
  • Demonstrated capability in managing others.
  • Computer Literate; strong MS Office skills.
  • Communication - both verbal and written English language.
  • Must have an existing SCA (Shop Certifying Authority) or have the necessary experience to qualify for an SCA.
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years\' experience in a related role.
  • Minimum 3 years\' experience in a supervisory / managerial role.
