Mechanical Shop Supervisor

We are now looking for the following position

Position: Mechanical Shop Supervisor

Location: Paradise, NL

Responsibilities:

Participate in recruitment, onboarding and development of your team to drive growth and development Provide leadership and guidance to your team to maintain Equipment Corps reputation of being a leader of industrial solutions Plan and schedule work tasks, ensuring efficient use of resources and meeting deadlines Safe maintenance, inspection & repair of a variety of rental & customers own equipment including mechanical, electrical & hydraulic equipment ensuring it is in optimal working condition Perform Inspection, testing and repair of chain hoists, lever hoists and other lifting devices Enforce quality standards, ensuring work is performed to specifications and safety equirements Address and resolve technical issues and problems that arise in shop Interact with customers to address concerns and provide solutions Shipping and Receiving - Assist in loading and unloading equipment Demonstrate equipment for customers Perform daily tasks in regard to general maintenance of shop and yard Wear proper safety equipment Ensure the health, safety and welfare of all personnel by maintaining a safe work environment, complying with Equipment Corps Health & Safety Requirements Perform other job related duties to support the team as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor/Operations Manager

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent Possess verbal, written and presentation skills Basic computer skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Mechanical & electrical aptitude including knowledge of tools applicable for job Experience repairing & maintaining equipment and tools Experience with hydraulics and their components would be a valuable asset Experience working on chain hoists, lever hoists and other lifting devices would be an asset Experience working with offshore, construction and mining equipment would be an asset Must have a team spirit and work cooperatively with others Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Must be able to multitask Must have valid driver's license Must have superior customer service skills Valid WHIMIS, Fall Arrest & First Aid certificates is considered an asset but not required Valid Forklift Training Certificate is considered an asset but not required

Compensation & Rewards:

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
