About the opportunity...
As an integral part of the "we can do that" operation, this position is responsible to maintain high profitability of the operation while supervising and leading aspects of the systems. Specifically:
supervise, lead, and direct all aspects of the service department
develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures and key performance goals for functions
develop tactical programs to pursue targeted goals and objectives; communicate strategy and results to team members
work with General Manager in forecasting controllable expense items for the department
monitor the flow of work in the Service Department to ensure work is completed properly
monitor labour sales and customer satisfaction to ensure key performance targets are achieved
monitor and maintain all manufacturer warranty programs for high profit and claim accuracy
establish safeguards to protect all dealership property, equipment, tools, and inventory
follow up with customers to achieve a high customer retention level and ensure satisfaction; handle escalated customer complaints
review departmental activity and daily operating reports with Management Team
plan promotions on vehicle service/maintenance
About you...
Ideal candidates will have a strong background and proven experience in dealership vehicle service sales, including:
3 years proven experience in dealership service management
5 years of proven experience as an operations and team leader
proficiency in working with ERP and CRM systems (ie. CDK/Reynolds)
ability to adapt to a changing environment and meet deadlines
ability to communicate professionally (verbally and written)
strong attention to detail, organized and strategic
ability to maintain professionalism
ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
self-motivated and driven with a passion for excellence in execution
a desire to work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
a proven commitment to quality of work
