Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and driven
Sales and Service Manager
to lead our front-of-house operations. This individual will play a key role in
driving equipment sales
,
growing our rental business
, and
managing the day-to-day operations of our service department
. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Rentals
Assist walk-in customers with the selection of new equipment, offering knowledgeable and honest advice
Close sales and process transactions accurately using POS systems
Maintain merchandising standards and ensure showroom is well-stocked and organized
Grow the rental business by promoting offerings and managing rental logistics
Track and follow up on customer inquiries, quotes, and rental returns
Service Team Management
Oversee the daily operations of the service department including scheduling repairs, diagnostics, and equipment tune-ups
Coordinate workflow for mechanics and prioritize service jobs
Provide clear communication between service staff and customers
Monitor timelines and quality of repairs to ensure customer satisfaction
Ensure service records and documentation are up to date and accurate
Team Leadership
Provide guidance, training, and daily direction to the service team
Support a positive and efficient work environment
Identify opportunities for improvement in service and sales operations
Operations
Monitor inventory of equipment, parts, and rental units; coordinate restocking as needed
Ensure rental equipment is cleaned, maintained, and ready for use
Handle warranty claims and liaise with manufacturers and suppliers as needed
Uphold safety, cleanliness, and professionalism in the store and workshop areas
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in retail sales, service, or management--experience in outdoor power equipment or similar industries strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of small engines, lawn & garden equipment, or mechanical service is an asset
Proven ability to lead a team and manage customer relationships effectively
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Basic proficiency with computers and POS systems
Valid driver's license required
