The service manager oversees the service department and is responsible for controlling costs, building a loyal clientele, maintaining good employee relations, setting and obtaining sales and profit objectives, and maintaining service records.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Hiring and supervising all service department personnel, as well as monitoring their performance in servicing customers.
Creating goals and objectives for the department, which includes an annual operating budget and a marketing plan to promote new and repeat business.
Encouraging technicians to keep their skills up-to-date through periodic technical training on new systems and components offered by automotive manufacturers.
Keeping up-to-date on manufacturer warranty and policy procedures while serving as a liaison with the factory representatives.
Maintaining the highest Customer Service Index (CSI) rating from customers by handling customer complaints immediately and according to dealership policy.
Ensure departmental productivity and efficiency.
Possess the proactive ability to motivate, adapt and produce an unparalleled service experience.
Require good diagnostic skills to identify service requirements and assess the work of technicians.
Good working knowledge of the automotive industry.
Additional duties as required.
Qualifications
Experience in the customer service industry.
Good working knowledge of the automotive industry.
Maagemet in an automotive dealership would be considered an asset.
Ability to motivate a team to strive for success.
Exceptional commitment to customer service.
Ability to foster strong internal and external relationships.
General knowledge of automotive systems and repair techniques.
Ability to follow strategy-based diagnostics.
Must thrive on attention to detail.
Good Computer Skills.
Must be well-organized and systematic.
Must possess a valid NL Driver's License
