The Service Dispatcher we're looking to add to our team is a highly process-driven, direct communicator who works best out of their seat and is quick on their feet. The restless, take-charge type individual we want is someone who uses their resources to strategically move things forward while operating with a high level of quality control. If you're someone who dominates in a fast-paced environment, pride yourself in being absolutely efficient and you enjoy having new challenges every day, this may be the spot for you.

The Service Dispatcher at Township is a proactive, multi-tasking, organizational beast whose main goal each day is to set the shop up for success. You pre-load the shop with work before the start of each day, helping to reduce unnecessary downtime. You do this by prioritizing work throughout the day based on the job type, time it takes to complete the job, parts availability and technician availability. You work closely with the shop foreman and service appointment coordinator to ensure all appointments are aligned to match the skillset of each technician.

As the Service Dispatcher, you also assist the Service Advisors with setting realistic expectations with customers, ensuring all repair orders are properly detailed and signed, and that each customer is well informed about the status of their vehicle throughout the day. Additionally, you ensure that all appointments for used vehicle repairs are kept on schedule and that benchmarks for turnaround times are met. At the end of the day, you make sure that no customer is left behind.

Position Overview

• Work Hours: Full Time (Monday-Friday 6:50AM-5:30PM)

Required Experience

• Education: Minimum high school.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Minimum 5 years dispatching jobs/orders in either the automotive service/body, construction, transportation, HVAC, or any other trades industry.
• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency and interact with various personalities.
• Technical automotive vehicle knowledge would be considered an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$32.00 per hour
